South Haven History Club and Michigan History Day (Part of National History Day) is a fascinating opportunity to move social science beyond rote learning, It is an educational competition designed to encourage students in grades 4-12 to explore historical subjects related to a broad annual theme. Students choose topics in state, national or world history that personally interests them and perform research using primary and secondary sources on their topic. South Haven has represented the State of Michigan for 14 consecutive years with two national wins and 3 top ten placings.
